on getting caught up

so i haven't made a blog post in over a year i think. i don't think i intend on updating with written posts for now, but will try to post pictures regularly to keep you in the loop. those are more interesting than my writing anyway. a short word of explanation...the first pictures are obviously of our wedding. aziz and i were married at a small rural bed and breakfast outside of his village on march 17. we were honored to have both of our families present in full(all of whom dressed in traditional outfits!), as well as numerous friends, some of whom came from very far away. there are more pictures than this, i will post them as i get them. these ones are courtesy of my dad, who graciously agreed to spend most of his evening snapping candids. thank you!

aziz and i are now enjoying married life in ain leuh, a small village in the middle atlas mountains of morocco. we just moved into a large house which we are fixing up to be a bed and breakfast. aziz does mountain guiding, so it is a natural transition for us to create a place for tourists to stay. after hours and hours of scraping, patching, moving, scrubbing, painting, rearranging, and polishing, the auberge is almost finished. there are still a few adjustments, purchases, etc that need to be made, but for the most part, we are ready for business. we love the house and are excited about the project. i will continue to post pictures as the rooms are furnished, and details are put into place.

we would love to keep in touch with everyone - send us updates once in a while! i will do my best to get back to you in a prompt manner...one of my goals for the summer is to improve my communication skills abroad. our current address is el mamouni, quartier administratif, ain leuh, 53052, morocco. hope you are all well - a and a
